◆ About the kakejiku ◆
After many years mastering Chinese and Japanese calligraphy, the artist has incorporated not only painting but also the spatial aesthetics of Japanese arts such as the tea ceremony, flower arrangement, and ceramics into his work, establishing his own technique: running-ink (sōboku).

Executed decisively and accurately in a single sweeping stroke, the brush brings a shimmering vitality and powerful elegance to characters; sporting motifs convey dynamic beauty in a simple yet dramatic way; nature themes reveal the mysterious forms of life on Japanese paper.

Official calligrapher of the Nagano Olympic Association. Translates the traditional Japanese martial art of iaido into ink paintings.
