About the Hanging Scroll
This work is created by renowned Japanese art director Kazunari Nagai,
who transforms Zen teachings and Zen phrases into three-dimensional forms using AI technology.

Zen phrases have traditionally been expressed in ink,
but in this work they are first converted into 3D forms through AI.
By capturing the depth, volume, and shadow of these three-dimensional forms
and printing them onto washi paper using lithography,
the work is returned once more to a two-dimensional format,
visually expressing both the profound depth and the simplicity of Zen.

Through a contemporary perspective,
this piece reinterprets the essence of Zen philosophy,
which has had a profound influence on Japanese culture as a whole.

The scroll mounting is beautifully finished by skilled mounting artisans,
using silk kimono fabric.
Its refined, luxurious texture adds further depth and presence to the artwork.
